What I Do

I’m a reporter and producer at Longview.

Here, I helped research and produce The Last Invention, our series on the AI revolution. I’ve also reported on America’s new obsession with gambling, our forgotten history of anarchist violence, and enduring accusations of paid protestors from both sides of the aisle.

I am especially drawn to stories that challenge long-held beliefs and push listeners to think not just about the facts of the moment but about larger societal and ethical questions.

Before Longview, I interned at Courier News, a local newspaper in New Jersey, and freelanced for the Miami Herald, the College Fix, and the Miami New Times.

My Background

I was born and raised in New Jersey (the best state, in my biased opinion). I went to college in Florida at the University of Miami, where I studied journalism and wrote for the student newspaper and produced stories for the university’s TV station.

As a student, I began listening to one of Longview’s podcast series, Reflector, and was hooked. A few months after graduating, I was hired by Andy and Matt, who gave me a crash course in all things audio.

Now, I live in Chicago. When I’m not working, you can find me at baseball games (the Sox or the Cubs), grabbing drinks with friends, and going for long runs on the lakefront.

My Ethics

I got into the media industry because trust in the media is hitting all-time lows, and I am passionate about winning that trust back. With every story, I try to set aside my preconceptions, so that I can understand people and their perspectives on their own terms.

I do not make political donations or participate in political events — though I do vote, because I believe it is a right no one should take for granted. I also do not accept gifts from anyone I cover or could potentially cover.
